Computers for the Terrifying

As you know I have mastered quite a bit of IT, and with a little help I can make web pages, but I wanted to learn some more so I have enrolled on this course, amusingly entitled Computers for the Terrifying.

I had a bit of trouble enrolling, because the enrolment clerk said I did not look terrifying enough. You can imagine that I needn't need any more encouragement, and ending months of fire-free existence I couldn't help myself. Suffice to say that she gave in, and after a bit of a panic involving the fire brigade I smoothed things over by pointing out that she now had a paperless office, which used to be the whole point of computers.

Anyway, the course has been running for a while and needless to say I did very well with the Fireworks unit - but you are probably wondering who else is on the course.

Well there a huge spider, who simply races over the keys, but has to make a leap for the mouse, often ending up on the floor and having to clamber up the legs of the desk. He is of course excellent at web design, and has made a very good start with DreamWeaver.

Then there is a bit fat worm. He is a bit of a nuisance and tries to get into everyone else's computer. I'm all right though as I just put up my firewall.

There are several rats - I don't like them much and I try to sit at a distance, but no matter where I go I always seem to be within 2 metres of one of them.

There's a dentist.

Finally there is an electric eel who is looking forward to studying PowerPoint.

The tutor is a quivering wreck, but she assures us it isn't us, it's all the forms she keeps having to fill in.

Anyway it is great fun and I am already looking forward to next term when we will be doing some programming. I am going to learn Cpuffpuff.

Actually, I am glad to be away for a few weeks- when I told my tutor that I was going away she said it was a pity because we were going to do "dragon drop!" I thought it sounded rather painful and I hope I don't have to make up for missing it when I get back.
